It's a....

I had my ultrasound yesterday and we found out we're having a BOY!  Everything looks good and healthy, so we're really happy about that.  It's going to be an adventure having a little boy around here.  I don't have a ton of experience with boys and "boy stuff", as I only have one older brother, and spent most of my time growing up playing with my three sisters.  So I admit I am nervous, but I already do love this little guy...and we'll just take things as they come!

Ann's excited to have a baby brother.  After the appointment we told her that the baby was a boy and she just got so excited - it was pretty cute.  I also showed her the pictures from the ultrasound that included some pretty good 3D ones, which I think she enjoyed (I'd promised her last week that we were soon going to get pictures of the baby, and she even reminded me once or twice about getting the pictures to show her!).  As fun as I thought it'd be for her to have a sister next, it just seems right for her to have a brother.

Overall this pregnancy has been pretty good.  We found out I was expecting the day before we flew out to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving.  I started feeling sick and nauseated by the end of the trip (flying home with morning sickness wasn't very fun...my only goal was to not throw up during the trip, which fortunately I didn't, but I did still feel pretty awful).  I felt sick and incredibly tired until sometime in January.  Tom and my parents were great in helping take care of me, Ann and our apartment when I wasn't feeling well.  Since then I've been feeling great and have frequently forgotten I am even pregnant (that's mostly stopped now that I'm consistently getting kicked from the inside).

So that's been pregnancy so far in a nutshell.  Once I remember to ask Tom to take a picture of me, I'll post that (I'm not cool and don't own a smartphone to take self-portraits in the bathroom of my growing belly :)

Congrats on a boy! It was definitely strange to have a boy after so many years of girl, but I will say boys are just as cute. :)

Congratulations! I am NOT pregnant right now, but we asked Elly the other day if she'd like Mommy and Daddy to have another baby at home with us. She made a scrunchy face and said, "Noooooooooo!" :)
