Easter 2017

We had a wonderful Easter this year.  Nothing too out of the ordinary.  We colored eggs on Friday and then on Sunday the kids got to find their hidden Easter baskets in the morning.  We had our little egg hunt after dinner since we have afternoon church.  We also read chapters from the Bible about Christ's resurrection during their scripture reading time at bedtime, and watched the animated "He is Risen" video.

Coloring Easter eggs.  I know there are many more "fancy" ways of coloring eggs, but we usually just keep it simple.  They enjoyed drawing on the eggs with crayons and then picking a color for them.

Of course Ian wanted to do everything by himself

My growing girl!

And my growing boy!  I can hardly believe how big they both are.

Showing off their colored eggs!  Ian's "cheese" smile is just hilarious!

Ann asked if we could take pictures outside after we'd finished coloring eggs.  It was a beautiful evening.

Ian saw a bug and just had to go check it out.  Apparently Ann thought this was hilarious

It's a bug!

Ann had to come check it out too

Ann wanted to use the camera to take a picture, so (once again), I got a picture of me and Ian :)

Showing off her basket that she found.

Ian checking out his basket as well.

I see an egg!

Tom helped guide Ian around to find some eggs

I am so grateful for Easter and for the opportunity we have to focus on remembering Christ's atonement and resurrection.  I am also so grateful for my ever increasing understanding of how truly marvelous those events are and how much they bless my life personally.  Christ is truly the way that we are able to find true peace and happiness in this life.
