October Catch-up

Wow, yeah I realize that I am super behind in my blogging and posting pictures.  So much has happened since these pictures I'm posting were taken.  Hopefully now life will start to settle down a bit more and allow me the opportunity to take more pictures and post more often.

Back in October (which feels like a lifetime ago now), we went to the Gilcrease Orchard to pick pumpkins.  Tom's mom came with us this time as Tom was taking a 5 week course through a professional organization and wasn't able to come.  It was a super windy day, just like when we'd gone a year ago.

Both Ann and Ian picked out a pumpkin pretty quickly

Ann picked a pretty big one

We brought along our stroller - this time not to push a child but for the sole purpose of carting around the pumpkins.  The orchard does have some wheelbarrows that visitors can borrow, but it is super busy there on the weekends in October and you can't count on any being available.

Stopping to take pictures at the sign/cut-out thingy

After getting and paying for the pumpkins, we got in the long line to get some apple cider donuts.  We left Grandma in line and I took Ann and Ian over here to take a few pictures.  They were getting antsy waiting in line - though as you can tell, they weren't super stoked about the idea of getting their picture taken either.  Notice Ian's awesome wind-blown hair.

They did have fun sitting in the wheelbarrows that were sitting nearby

We finally got some yummy, fresh-made apple cider donuts!

With some fresh apple cider to drink

After we got home, Ann said she wanted to decorate her pumpkin with markers.  I asked if she would rather carve her pumpkin this year and she said no.  We'll see when (if ever) she changes her mind and would rather carve them instead of just drawing all over the pumpkins.
