8 Months Old!

Our sweet Emily turned 8 months old at the beginning of this month.  I'm continually amazed at how quickly the time has been flying.  Was New Years Day really 8 months ago already??  We got her pictures taken a day late and in my bedroom instead of on the couch in the living room like we usually do.  A few days earlier Ann had come home early from school due to a stomach virus.  Ian and then Tom eventually caught it that weekend as well.  Emily and I managed to not catch it (thankfully!!), but since sick people had been residing on the normal picture-taking couch, we took pictures in my bedroom.

Emily is such a wonderful and delightful baby.  She is so happy and sweet.  And so patient (well, as long as I'm holding her she can be patient for quite a while).  She has started to army crawl/scoot herself around the floor and she is enjoying the freedom this allows.  Since turning 8 months old, she has learned how to sit herself up from laying down.  She is so close to crawling.  She can get herself up onto her hands (or elbows) and knees, but doesn't quite have the strength and/or coordination to make it work just yet.  She'll get it figured out soon though!

And lots of pictures because she's just so darn cute and I can't pick a favorite :)
