This is how we roll...

It's official...Ann rolls.  She's been able to roll from her tummy to her back from quite a while now, but hadn't been able to go from her back to her tummy.  Recently, within the past week or two, she had started to do this:

(I want to see what's over there!!)

In the last few days, when she'd do this, she would twist a little more and bury her face into the blanket, but then also pull back up and roll back over to her back.  Early this morning, I set Ann on the floor since she wasn't going back to sleep, and I laid down next to her to take a little nap.  I opened my eyes and saw she'd gotten onto her stomach, but had one of her arms still caught underneath her.  When Ann tried to move, she just quickly flopped back onto her back.  Later this morning, I set her down for a few minutes so I could get some dishes done.  I heard her fuss a little bit, so I went back into the living room and saw this:

She was just playing there as happy as can be (which is amazing, since tummy time used to be the bane of her existence).  As I had the camera out, she proceeded to roll back onto her back, and then her tummy again, and again and again.  I should have just taken a video, but I think I was just in shock and amazement of seeing her roll that I didn't think of it.  But here are her adventures in pictures:

(Whoa...I'm on my back again)

(must grab toes while on my back)

(and here we go!)

Face-plant (this is how far she had been getting the last few days)

(yay! I'm on my tummy again!)

(you thought I'd stay on my tummy?)

(this rolling over thing is really fun!)

It was amazing to watch her roll right off her blanket.  We are definitely going to need to keep a better eye on her now.  Gone are the days of being able to leave her somewhere for a minute and expecting her to be in the same place when I return!

It is so exciting to watch our little Annie grow up!  Today she seems so much older.  Goodness, the time flies by so fast!

So adorable! A friend told me that after having her second child it was hard to remember that you could just stick them somewhere and they would stay. Hope you guys are enjoying MN!
