11 Months

Okay, so who wants to tell me where the last 11 months have gone?  Seriously.  Ann is 11 months old today and that time has flown by incredibly quickly.  I can't believe she will be one years old next month.

Here are a few random facts about our little Annie:
-She has been officially crawling for about the past 2.5 weeks (it feels like a lot longer than that!!).  She had been scooting around on her stomach for a while before that though
-She is starting to pull herself up onto things, especially the couch
-Walking with the help of mommy or daddy is her absolute most favorite thing in the entire world.  If we start walking around with her, she will zoom around until *our* backs give out from being hunched over.  She will often get upset when we stop unless we sufficiently distract her.
-She has 5 teeth - 2 on top, 3 on the bottom (but we're pretty sure she's currently getting the 4th bottom tooth)
-She can be very opinionated, be it about eating, sleeping or playing
-If she finds something she really likes to play with, she can be occupied with it for 15+ minutes at a time (items can range from a camera lens cap to my chapstick to her changing pad I keep in my diaper bag).

Playing with a balloon that she received when we went grocery shopping this afternoon (at Hy-Vee, for those who are familiar with it - the balloon actually says Hy-Vee on it, you just can't see it in the picture).  Soon after getting to the store, I stopped for a second to pull out my shopping list.  Ann must have made a fussing noise and a grandma-age employee saw Ann and said something like "oh, what's the matter?  Do you want a balloon?  I'll get you a balloon."  She then went over to the floral shop (we were right next to it) and asked for a balloon, and came back with it and tied it to our shopping cart for Ann.  Ann had a good time eating the ribbon while we walked around the store (and has since enjoyed playing with it at home this evening).
