Thanksgiving

Yes, I realize Thanksgiving feels like forever and day ago by now.  I also realize that the only people who probably care about the massive amount of pictures I'm about to post are likely to be family...

We went to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving this year.  It was the big Polley family reunion that they have every other year.  It was busy and crazy with all of the people there, but we were glad to have the chance to see those who were able to make it down.

Playing the piano with cousin Kaybri

Yeah, walking around in Grandma's red heels is no big deal...

Preparing dinner for 60+ people takes quite a bit of effort (this was the day before Thanksgiving)

Playing at the neighborhood park while Thanksgiving dinner is cooking

Ann absolutely loves the trampoline that's in the back yard.  Here she's playing with one of her 2nd cousins.

Getting the turkey all ready to eat!

Ann loved to pretend that these sticks were a violin

Hanging out on the furniture that was moved outside to make space for all of the tables inside

Ann finally started to get over her fear of petting dogs!  Tom's cousin Seth and his wife Nicole have this cute little dachshund named Roxy.  I'm pretty sure Ann took to Roxy because she's much smaller than Daisy.  But she eventually did start petting Daisy too later (I don't think I got any pictures of it though).

Kaybri climbing with Grandpa up the stairs

I included this picture because I find it hilarious.  A lot of the little kids there loved Roxy.  I had been upstairs when Roxy comes running up to Nicole and climbs in her lap.  About 20 seconds later about 5 kids come running after Roxy wanting to pet her.  (Nicole told me later that while Roxy is totally fine with attention from kids, she thought all of the attention at the reunion was getting to be a little much for her :)

Playing with numbers on Aunt Jill's phone

Loving being at the park again

And so happy to have Kaybri there with her this time

Playing with Kaybri in her (Kaybri's) bed

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we headed out to a children's museum.  We had a great time while we were there.

Playing with puzzles in the toddler area of the museum

They also had a water world area, which Ann completely loved (and they had the cutest little ponchos for the kids to wear (they had ears on the hoods!!))

Putting a ball into the water vortex

Watching her ball go down

Ann loved this contraption.  Once you put a ball on the tracks, it rides down to the center where there are water jets which shoot the ball up onto tracks up above.  From there the ball rides the tracks and falls into a bin over next to the wall.

Getting splashed with the water from the jets!  Once Ann got used to the water though, she was able to look up and watch where the balls were going.  She'd then grab balls from the bin to bring back and put on the tracks again.

Too cute for words

Playing with a giant xylophone

There was a big "city" on one of the floors in the museum, with different shops and other areas.  Ann loved the grocery store.  She loaded her basket full of produce and then put everything back in its place again.  She could have done that forever if we had let her

Working at a construction site

Looking at their hands and other objects under a microscope

This was our last Sunday there.  Ann was so worn out that she fell asleep at the end of dinner (church was in the afternoon so she didn't get a nap).

We loved our time out in Las Vegas, even if it went too quickly!
