Even though we are no longer in the middle of a polar vortex, it has still been very cold outside (with a few exceptions). As a result, the only time we go outside is usually just to run errands. We try and have as much fun as we can inside though. Ann's favorite Christmas presents have become apparent, as they are the ones she still plays with every day - her play food, doctor set (I don't know how many "shots" I've gotten in the last week or two), and these little 12-piece jigsaw puzzles. There are 4 of these little puzzles (a dog, fish, cat and bird), and I've been amazed at how quickly she's caught on to them. She does the dog and fish one the most, and can put them together without any help anymore (she still needs some assistance with the other two). Her brain has definitely started to "get" puzzles, as she was able to do some other puzzles with my Dad last Sunday. The things this girl can do, understand and say just continues to amaze me.

I bought these stickers quite a while ago (I think for our trip to Las Vegas back in August), and somehow they ended up in the living room. Ann had fun for a day or two making designs with the stickers on one of our throw pillows (the stickers are still on the pillow, by the way).
This picture was taken last week. As any typical 2-year old, Ann has enjoyed picking out her own clothes lately. For whatever reason, she wanted to wear all black (she found the black shirt and verbalized her desire to find her black pants). Maybe it's becoming a favorite outfit, as that's what she picked out to wear again today. As long as she's comfortable and warm, I guess...
So that's a little of what we've been up to around here. Nothing too exciting, but that's okay. Maybe I'll soon need to start thinking of some fun Valentine's things to do together with Ann...that's going to be here before I know it!
