Easter

We had a wonderful Easter holiday earlier this month.  Ann was very excited to get to color eggs and have an egg hunt again this year.  We also enjoyed listening to General Conference Easter Sunday as well.  What better way to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior than to listen to uplifting messages about Him and spend time with family?  I'm so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the strength and comfort that brings to us in all facets of our lives.

Coloring eggs.  Ann definitely remembered this from last year and was very excited to get to finally do it again :)

Cute little boy hanging out while we colored eggs

So close to crawling!

This year Ann was able to put the eggs in the containers by herself (I had to help her last year).  I still needed to be the one to take them out of the containers though (I let Ann try but she dropped and cracked one of the eggs).

Ian wanted to watch the egg-coloring action

My big girl

I told her to smile while I took a picture of her with the eggs...

Easter morning.  Tom said she should hide the Easter baskets for Ann to find (my family didn't do that, but his did).  Ann had fun finding them.  This is Tom's she found.

Searching all around

Mommy's basket was on the bookshelf

She found hers amongst the toys by the couch

She was pretty excited

That afternoon between conference sessions we did Ann's egg hunt.  The weather was nice, so we decided to do it outside this year.

Where are the eggs?

There's one!!

I see another one!

In the tree

The boys watching the fun

Hello cute Ian - next year you'll get to help find eggs too!

Happy to find an egg that was sitting on top of Grandpa's car

The last egg was hiding on top of one of the car tires

With all of her eggs!

Grandpa and Ian.  My dad was able to come over to watch Ann's egg hunt.  My mom needed to stay home to take care of some other things.

My two cuties.  I like to think that Ian's thinking "this dress seems pretty....

....yummy!"

It took a lot of effort to get these two to even look at the camera (let alone smile - though I don't expect much from either, especially Ian :).  I think this was about the only good one we got out of quite a few.

My contribution to our Easter dinner with my parents.  I made this carrot bundt cake.  I was running low on time, so I skipped making the frosting.  It didn't look as pretty without it, but it still tasted good.
