Back on the first Sunday this month, I had a the chance to run outside and take pictures of the beautiful blossoms on the trees outside - both kids were napping and Tom was home.
I snapped a quick picture of my reflection in the window next to our building's front door before going inside
We headed over to Quarry Hill to check out the beginning of spring over there. There weren't any blossoming trees, but it was still pretty.
Checking out the water in the pond
Hello Mr. Goose
And Mrs. Goose! I saw 4 eggs in her nest (though you can only see 3 in the picture)
I was quite surprised at how close the geese were letting us get to them and their nest
"Ann, smile!"
This is about as close to any blossoms we saw there
Ian woke up! He'd fallen asleep on the way there and slept for the majority of our walk around
The beautiful tree in front of our building. This was the last time it looked so full of blossoms. I snapped this picture as we headed inside after we got back from Quarry Hill. It was starting to rain as we headed in, and once we got inside it started pouring with a ton of wind. Flower petals were flying everywhere.
Outside a day or two later blowing bubbles (Ann loves to chase after them and try to pop them)
Ian just hanging out
Ann blowing bubbles
The ground was covered in pink petals
This is one of our neighbor's trees. I thought the various shades of pink were really pretty
Down by our street - Ann called these "popcorn trees" (I think she got that from my Dad). This street by our apartment was covered in blossoming trees. It was so pretty driving down it.
