SNOW!!

Ever since snow started appearing on the mountains a few months ago, Ann has been asking us to go play in the snow.  We had actually been hoping to go for the past several weeks, but the weather or other circumstances weren't cooperative.  Last weekend everything finally aligned and we were able to head up to Kyle Canyon to play around for a little while.  Tom's dad came with us as he's more familiar with the area up there and would be able to help us find a spot to play.

It was a perfect day to play!  It was about 32 degrees with just a little wind.  It was just slightly overcast so the sun wasn't too bright.

My sweet little family that I love so very much!

There was a "cave"/overhang that we went up to explore.  Both the kids had fun taking off and playing with a few of the icicles

Ian had the most random get-up for this outing.  We haven't stayed up on getting new winter/snow-gear since we live in the desert now.  So Ian just got a bunch of random things that used to be Ann's from when we lived in Minnesota.  We didn't have any boots that would fit him though.  Tom's dad had the idea to have him wear his shoes, then cover the shoes with plastic bags, then put thick socks over the plastic.  It worked great - Ian was able to walk around fine and his feet stayed nice and dry.

:)  I'm so glad Tom was able to come with us

It was just beautiful up there.  I have really missed the snow, and I'm so glad we got to go play

Grandpa found some sticks for the kids to play with (and they sure had fun with them!)

Though, Ann did accidentally hit herself in the face trying to pull her stick out of the snow (she still has a healing scab on the bridge of her nose)

Getting ready to slide down the hill!

There was a small hill right by where we parked and we were able to easily slide down

I took Ian for a ride too

My snow baby :)

And snow girl :)

One last ride down the hill before going home!  Both the kids were saying how they wanted to live there so they could play in the snow all the time.
