Adventures: Quarry Hill

Part 2 of the "Adventures" posts.  We also went to Quarry Hill twice.  Even though we've been earlier in the year with Tom, it was fun going again because all the foliage has grown in even more.

Day 1:

"We're doing this 'picture of the trail in the stroller' thing again?"

We headed down by the pond for a minute

Ann not caring too much about the pond

I love this girl

She had become much more cuddly as she has gotten older.  I love it!

Sorry hunny, those rocks are stuck in the ground and you can't pick them up.

Hanging out by the stroller and having a drink of water.

Day 2:

The second time we went to Quarry Hill, we went inside their nature center for a little while (it was already closed the first time we went).  Ann wasn't so sure of this chair that I set her on :)

Checking out a turtle (I tried to get more pictures of her inside, but she didn't stay still long enough for me to get any good shots).

When we headed back outside, she refused to let me put her in her stroller, so we just wandered over to the this small little area near the nature center (I don't remember the exact name, but it has to do with butterflies)

It was another pretty hot day

Apparently I don't take as many pictures of Quarry Hill as I do Oxbow...oh well.  We haven't been on too many adventures outside like this recently, as we've been under an excessive heat warning this week (and which will continue until Friday...bleh)...90 degree heat plus humidity does not make going outside appealing in any way, which makes for a not so festive 4th of July.  Oh well, at least Ann let me sleep in this morning (until 9:30!), so I guess that's something, right?
