Ann wasn't particularly keen at first of the idea of being held for pictures, so we let her run around for a little bit (it was pretty windy and chilly out...notice the rosy cheeks and nose)
Tom was able to get Ann to laugh and smile. I love this little girl so much!
I can't remember what she was so excited about in this picture
Hanging out on Daddy's shoulders, always a favorite place to be.
This past weekend was General Conference. It was such an amazing and uplifting conference. To be honest, this was probably the first General Conference in years where I was able to actually stay awake the whole time (I think needing to keep an eye on a cute little toddler helped with that). Some of my favorite talks included President Uchtdorf's, President Eyring's, Elder Oaks' and Elder Holland's talks. I look forward to reading over them later and studying them more.
Tom tackled a couple of projects this weekend, one of which included taking apart our old kitchen table chairs (we decided to use our old kitchen table as our computer desk and on Saturday were able to find a nice new kitchen table, which came with chairs). Ann loves the sound of Tom's power drill, so she sat by him and he took out the screws and helped him hold on to the screws.
Tom also was trying to fix our stereo that is dying, and so in an attempt to keep Ann away from all of that stuff, we went on a walk (even though it was pretty chilly). This is a picture I took on Tom's phone of her all bundled up in her stroller.
So you know how we all do silly things? I had my fair share this weekend. Accidentally hit 'reply' instead of 'forward' on an email and send an email meant for Tom to ~200 ladies from church around town? Check. Put a bag of cereal on the top of the fridge in a way that when other boxes of cereal are moved the bag falls off the fridge (and done when the baby is sleeping)? Check (luckily the baby stayed asleep). Slip at the bottom of a staircase and sprain my ankle? Check. I actually did this just before the first session of conference on Saturday, so I spent most of the weekend sitting with my foot up. It's not too bad (just a little swollen), but it does start to ache if I stand for too long or move around too much. I had an orthopedic surgeon in our ward take a look at it to make sure I didn't break anything, which he doesn't think I did. Hopefully it will get better soon. I don't like not being able to get out of the house with Ann during the day.
Ann is such a sweet, sensitive little girl. Overall she was very well behaved during conference, which allowed us to be able to watch and listen. She loved when the choir would sing, and often would go up to the desk to watch.
