It started snowing last night and continued all through most of this afternoon. A big snowstorm has blown across Minnesota, but we only got the edge of it (some parts of the state were getting 9+ inches). We did get a couple inches though, so I can't complain. Snow just makes me happy. I find watching snow gently fall to be incredibly peaceful (whether I'm looking at it through a window or walking in it).
I really wanted to get a picture of Ann and I outside before church, but we ended up not having enough time. I talked Tom into taking pictures of us after we came home from church, even though it was already pretty dark out (our ward meets from 1-4pm, and we needed to stay after for a while and ended up not getting home until about 5...and the sun sets around 4:30pm nowadays). Since it was so dark, Tom had a hard time getting the camera to focus, but we did get a couple decent shots. I was just afraid the next time we had the chance to take pictures the temperatures would go up again and the snow would melt.
No, we're not wearing coats...yes it was cold (but not that cold, it was probably at least 30 degrees)...and yes, I am actually wearing shoes (and yes I got snow in my shoes, but it was so worth it).
Ann wasn't too cooperative (she hadn't slept all day...afternoon church really messes with nap time), but she did smile a bit. The funny greenish spot on my skirt is a lens flare.
I hope to try and get Ann out into the snow sometime. I just checked the weather forecast and tomorrow's high is only 14 degrees (so I guess I didn't have to worry about the snow melting immediately, but I don't think I'd want to stay outside to take pictures in those temperatures). Maybe we'll wait until Wednesday when it warms up to 25 degrees before venturing outside.

Pretty snow. I hope we get some snow here this year. We didn't last year and I'd been so looking forward to playing outside with the girls.
And, yes, you look cold. :)
