Valentine's Day this year was a lot of fun. Ann really enjoys making valentines for other people. For Valentine's Day itself, I wrote a little note to Ann, Ian and Tom and set out a little treat for each of them with their card to find that morning.
Ann made her valentines for her preschool class (only because there are only 8 kids total - I would have tried to persuade her otherwise if there were 30 kids or something like that). She picked the color of the paper for the card and heart and decided where things to supposed to go.
While Ann worked on her cards, Ian tried to get into whatever he could. Right here, he's looking at me saying "keys!!"
She wrote her classmate's name on the front of the card, and then wrote "Happy Valentine's Day, Love, Ann" inside of them. We later bought some hershey kisses and taped some to the front of the card as well.
A few days before Valentine's we made painted sugar cookies, per Ann's request.
She had fun helping paint all of the hearts pink. She had me do most of the cutting out with the cookie cutters.
Ian greatly enjoyed the cookies!
Running around outside with a mouth full of cookie :)
I made an "A" shaped cookie for Ann with the last bit of dough
With her "A" cookie right before she devoured it
We had a few minutes before we needed to leave for church on Valentine's Day morning, so I took the kids outside to quickly take pictures of them.
Ian was a little uncertain about the whole thing
Ann occasionally wants to hold the camera to take pictures, so I made sure the strap is around her neck and let her take a few pictures. I think she did a pretty good job! (And it's fun to be able to have a few pictures of me too!)
