A month ago we said goodbye to the sweetest dog I have ever known. I'm not much of a dog person, and I've told Tom that Daisy is the only dog I think I have legitimately liked. She had started having some health issues back in February, improved a little bit, but then just slowly went down hill. The house does not feel the same without her. Due to various circumstances, she ended up passing away at home before they could take her in to the vet to be put down. She was 13 years old.
Tom was outside with Daisy for her final hour and half of life.
I was out there with Ann and Ian as well after Ann came home from preschool. Ian would come over and pet Daisy a bit before running back to play around. Ann wasn't too interested in petting her, and Tom and I think she was just avoiding having to say goodbye to Daisy (as she obviously loved her...when we lived in Minnesota any time we video-chatted with Tom's family Ann was always asking to see Daisy. When Ann would see a Polley family picture, the first thing she'd say was "Look! There's a picture of Daisy...and Grandma, and Grandpa, etc").
I took a few pictures around the yard while we were out there.
The dirt where Ian is standing was wet and he was getting upset that his hands and feet were dirty.
Daisy was a wonderful dog and will be missed greatly.
