Trip to Utah

In the beginning of March, I took Ann and Ian up to Utah to celebrate my Grandma Cottrell's 95th birthday.  I was a little nervous about taking them up by myself, but overall it went well.  We stayed at a hotel with my mom who had also come out for the celebration.  It was wonderful to get to see my Grandma and other relatives as well, and I'm glad we made the trip up (even if it was quick - we drove up on Thursday, had the party on Friday, then drove home on Saturday).

Ian entertained himself with the paper plates, and later with eating cake and M&Ms.

Ann also sat around eating cake, and later kept Ian supplied with M&Ms to eat.  Near the end she started interacting more with my cousins' children.

My mom bought this beautiful bouquet of purple flowers to give to my Grandma.  She also bought this St. Patrick's Day beanie-baby as well, because March 17 is my grandparents' wedding anniversary.

I love this picture my mom took of me with Grandma.

My mom with her mom!

All of us together.

These are a few pictures of the hotel that we stayed at.  It was called Ben Lomand Inn and Suites.  We had this nice two bedroom suite - it was square footage wise larger than our apartment in Minnesota.  When you walked in there was this good sized living room.

One of the bedrooms had two queen beds in it.  Ann and my mom stayed in this room, and Ian and I were in the other bedroom (which just had one bed).

The furniture was beautiful.  Right behind that wall was one of two bathrooms.

These two had fun climbing around, on, and under the coffee table.

On our way back down to Las Vegas, we stopped to see my little sister Janelle in Provo (we actually made an unplanned pit stop at her place on the way up too).  We had lunch together and let the kids run around before getting back on the road.

Ian even let Janelle hold him!  (My mom was able to hold him too, but I didn't get any pictures of it)

Ann took a picture of Janelle and me right before we got in the car to leave.
