Backyard Swimming

During the hot summer months here, being in water is usually the only sane thing to do outside.  Consequently, we have done a lot of swimming around here since Tom's parents have a pool in the backyard.  We have also had some family come visit recently and we've enjoy getting to go swimming with cousins too!

Tom's cousin Aaron came down with his family back in June.  When it's just our little family, we often wait until after dinner to go swimming, because we don't have to worry about the bright sun.  But we were out swimming in the morning this day!  The sun is super bright here in Las Vegas.  Ian usually doesn't wear his hat in the pool, but we brought it out to help protect his head from getting burned (have to be extra careful with my super blonde, fair-skinned child!).

Tom has been helping teach Ann to swim this summer.  She has made so much progress - I am so proud of her!

Coming up for a breath!

At the beginning of July my brother Nick's family stopped by for the weekend on their way up to Utah.

We got an evening swim in with them (as they didn't arrive until dinner time).
