Ian helped me make pancakes for breakfast
After breakfast he noticed the sprinklers had turned on and wanted to go out to look at them
So fun sticking feet in the water!
His pants got all wet, but he had a great time anyway.
We didn't do too much during the day for his birthday because it was so hot out (and doing anything indoors would cost more than I would want to spend). We played around inside and he helped me bake and decorate his cake. We also skyped with my parents. For dinner Ian wanted to go to McDonald's, just like we had done for Ann's birthday. I took these pictures outside just before we went off to dinner.
There were so many cute ones I couldn't pick just one.
These two have grown up so much since we moved to Las Vegas
I was apparently doing something funny/silly to get them to look at the camera and smile
After dinner we came home and opened presents.
Ian got this cute firefly-shaped flashlight from Tom's mom
She also gave him a safari floor puzzle.
Ian got his own clock for his room. Ann has the exact same one (we got it for her when she was about 3 years old). It's the kind of clock where it turns green in the morning when it is okay to leave the bedroom.
Ian got to have a turn having a present wrapped in a blanket
Ann picked out a new ball for him
Getting ready to blow out the candles on his "3" cake
He chose purple frosting for the cake (he had just recently told someone that purple was one of his favorite colors - I think blue was the other color).
Happy birthday to our sweetest little Ian!
