Ann's Baptism

Ann was baptized in the beginning of June.  Our stake does stake-level baptisms, but we happened to be the only ones planning to have a child baptized on that day, so it was just us.  Both Tom's and my parents came, as well as my brother Nick and his family.  Our bishop and one of Ann's previous primary teachers (who is now in the primary presidency) was there.  It was a nice, quiet event.  Emily also turned 5 months old that day.  After the baptism was over, we all went out to eat at a yummy BBQ place called Thee Pitts Again.  It was a great weekend having family visit for such a special occasion.

We took a few pictures before hand while we waited for Nick's family to arrive.  They got caught in construction traffic on the way here

I've since realized we didn't get any pictures with Nick's family...oops

After everything was finished.  Ann really wanted to wear my old baptism dress that my mom had made for me when I was 8.  I'd asked Ann if she would rather I buy her a dress of her own and she said no.  It makes me smile that she wanted to wear my dress, even if it is very much an early 1990's style :)

Emily was off with someone else when we were taking these pictures (my niece and sister-in-law helped hold Emily during much of the baptism service so I could focus on Ann)

After we got home I got Emily's 5 month old pictures taken.  We used the blanket my mom crocheted and brought to us as a backdrop.

So many cute pictures...it's hard to pick just 1 to post!
