Usually when I go and get Ann up from her nap, she is ready to get down out of her crib to go play. The other day, however, when I asked her if she was ready to get out of her crib, she shook her head and laid back down. She started babbling away and I sat on the floor next to her crib and we "talked" for the next couple of minutes. I decided to run and grab the camera to see if I could get a picture of the whole thing. She stood up when I turned the light on, but then laid down again and let me get a few pictures. I was able to get a few good shots despite it being dark in her room because there is no natural light in there (thanks to a black-out curtain we've hung over her window). During this whole time I was just overwhelmed with how much I love this little girl. I was having visions of her coming in and laying down with me on my bed when she's four or five years old to chat with me.
Bed-hair :)
Her hair usually is a little wild after waking up, but this time was particularly crazy
Laying back down to chat with Mommy (PS it can be hard to get a camera to focus on a baby through the slates of a crib, instead of focusing on the crib)
Beautiful blue eyes. And so cute in her sleep sack
I love you, Mommy!
And if you're curious, here is a view of what her window looks like :) I got the idea to cover it with a blackout curtain from a friend on facebook. It helps a ton so she doesn't wake up too early in the morning when the sun comes up, and helps her sleep better at nap time during the day.
