(Current) Favorite Things

I was realizing tonight that it's been almost two weeks since I last blogged and figured it was time for another post.  Life around here has been pretty uneventful...thanks to molars (which take *forever* to come in!!), a fever, and general all around tiredness on everyone's part, we haven't gone out to do too many fun things.  However, we've tried to have fun around here as much as we can.  Ann goes through phases as to which toys she likes to play with/activities she likes to do, so these are the current ones at the moment:

Recently Tom started putting Ann on our office chair and she loves to sit and play with toys or be spun around

Ann loves play with caps/lids/etc and put them on and off of their respective containers.  Unfortunately, this includes the lens cap of our camera lenses, so lately when I take the camera out, she ends up getting upset because I won't let her play with the camera (go figure).  This is her trying to reach for the camera

Pushing things!!  She is able to push/pull the office chair away from the desk and push it somewhere (it has ended up by the front door, as demonstrated here, in her bedroom down the hall, or in the dining room area).  She also loves to push her pack-n-play down the hall when I set it up for her to play in while I take a shower in the morning.

Blocks!  A while back I noticed Ann trying to stack her shape-sorting blocks (since I would stack them to make towers with her).  So we decided to get some regular wooden blocks for her to play with (so what if the container says those blocks are for kids ages 3+?  We only left out the regular square blocks and put all of the other shapes away until she gets older).  She can stack a few on top of each other and is pretty proud of herself when she does.  I once saw her stack 5 blocks.

Playing under our desk is another favorite activity.  She loves to turn the knobs on the stereo down there, and would play with our printer as well (it sat on the stereo) until I finally stuck in Tom's and my closet because I was worried she was going to break it.

So she's really not upset in this picture...she was just being a goof and not smiling for me.  We were getting ready to head over to my parents to pick raspberries and Ann "helped" Tom get ready by pulling some socks out of our drawer.  Since he already had socks on, he decided to put them on her instead.  I thought it was absolutely adorable :)
