Snow Fun

I am quite sure this is only the beginning of many posts that have something to do with snow.  This past weekend we went over to my parents' house to let Ann play outside in the snow (she asked to ride in my parents' sled - which is a  huge deal!  The last two years when we tried to pull Ann around in that sled, she was very unhappy about it.  So for her to request to do it is evidence of how much her attitudes have changed).  She definitely had a fun time playing out in the snow, which is great.  That means this winter may be more fun and enjoyable if we are able to go play outside (as long as it doesn't get TOO cold - we don't need any polar vortexes this year).

In the sled ready to ride!  She let me pull her from the front yard to the middle of the backyard before deciding to get off.

Walking around in the snow (it was snowing while we were outside, and it was deeper than when we were outside playing earlier in the week).

She wanted to pull the sled around the backyard

She has been enjoying smiling for the camera and saying "cheese"

Up on the deck

Picking up the snow.  She was bummed that it was dry and powdery snow - not good for making snowmen

Shoveling!  Now that Ann is older, she is able to better understand the concept of shoveling (meaning, that you pick up the snow off the driveway and then put it on the grass, not the other way around).

She enjoyed helping Grandma

It was fun to watch her randomly shoveling around

She did a great job!  My mom left a little area for her and she nearly cleared it all (I just had to go back and clean it up a bit, but she got the majority of it)
