It was also a gorgeous day. It got up to about 70 degrees - completely the opposite kind of weather we would have been having had we stayed in Rochester - the school district canceled school that day because of the extreme cold.

So instead of cold and snow, I got to be outside and jump on the trampoline with Ann and Ian

And I got to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and palm trees

So this is a really bad quality picture, but it's the only one we have from that evening. Tom and I were able to go to see the Cirque du Soleil show "Mystere". Tom's dad is a dentist, and one of his employee's husband's works for Treasure Island and is able to get free tickets for the show. We were incredibly grateful and excited to have the opportunity to go see the show. The only previous experience I had with seeing Cirque du Soleil was a little mini show at Sea World 11.5 years ago. The show was amazing! And we had awesome seats too (we didn't have our hopes up since they were free tickets, but we were in the 2nd row almost in the center).
After we came home from the show and I got Ian fed, we had cake and I opened a few presents. Ann was supposed to be asleep by then (it was nearly 10pm), but since she wasn't she got to join us downstairs,
She helped me blow out my candles,
Opening presents. Tom's mom got me some stuff to help with my super dry heels. Tom got me some new non-hoop or dangley earrings - very helpful with a baby who likes to grab things,
It was a wonderful day and I'm so grateful to everyone who helped make it special!
