BYU Duck Pond

We spent 3.5 weeks in Utah and it was a wonderful vacation.  We are also especially grateful to Tom's aunt and uncle that let us stay at their house that long (though they were out of town for a portion of that time).  One of the first things I took the kids to go do once we were up there was the BYU duck pond.  They had been doing some construction around there when we moved away 5 years ago, so it was fun to see everything completed.

Checking out all of the ducks (and I definitely wasn't the only parent who thought it was a good morning to go say hi to the ducks).

Ducks in the water...

...and lots of ducks chilling on the grass.

This female duck was not shy.  And it feels like she's looking into my soul...

It was different having this boardwalk and rail around the pond, but I'll admit was nice not worrying that Ian was going to accidentally take a swim.

Ann greatly enjoyed the ducks as well

Husband and wife?

Hello Mr. Mallard

We also went up to walk around the pathway along the side of campus as that had been redone as well.  It was nice to see water in the canal again, and these little waterfalls were pretty.  And Ann likes to do silly poses.

We ended up trekking all the way up onto campus because a certain little boy desperately needed a diaper change.  There was a beautiful flower garden near the top of the steps on the way up to campus.  Of course Ian didn't cooperate for me to get a picture of the two of them together.

So he got just one of himself.

And Ann kindly took a picture of me and Ian as well.
