Barrett Family Reunion

This past summer we took a week long trip out to Minnesota for my family's reunion at Cedar Valley Resort (where we'd had our first family reunion 6 years prior).  I was really glad that I was about 14 weeks pregnant by that point so I was getting over my nausea.  It made the trip much more enjoyable (though I did end up with a migraine from the tiredness of traveling and dealt with that the first 2-3 days).  We had so much fun and it was also a nice break getting away from the Arizona summer heat.  The only downside was that it went by way too quickly!

We had a family "Sunday Meeting" where we talked about family history stories and sang primary songs

Some beautiful flowers just outside our cabin

The river that ran nearby

There was a field of wildflowers behind the cabin

Tom wanted to take Ann and Ian fishing, so we went to a pond that wasn't too far away that had trout in it

It was a very sunny, warm day (I was having a hard time with it being pregnant), but brightness allowed us to see all of the fish just swimming happily around in the water

It took a bit of work, but they were able to catch two little trout!

Ann decided she wanted to touch the fish to see what it felt like

Cute little Ian.  His face was scrapped up because he got too close to one of his cousins swinging and got hit in the face

We had a ladder-ball tournament on one of the rainy days there

Near the end of our week it got a little rainy, which brought in some fog.  It look really pretty and I tried my best to take some pictures of it
