Christmas Part 3

Okay, I promise this is the end of the Christmas pictures....

After our big family pictures, someone suggested we go out somewhere since we were all dressed up.  Since dinner was in the crock pot and still had close to 2 hours before finishing, we (eventually) all piled into cars and headed down to the strip to visit the Bellagio and see the decorations in the atrium.  When you walked in you could see this huge tree in the back.

In the center there were these trains going around (they had cameras on them and at one end a couple TVs were set up so you could watch what the cameras saw)

Next to the trains were these log cabins, which if I remember correctly were made out of a ton of dark chocolate (the roof is made from frosted mini wheat cereal).

Jill and Mom Polley

A polar bear made out of flowers (when Tom pointed out to me that they were completely made from flowers, I said "oh, so that's why they are dripping" :)

Penguins ice skating

These are the really cool glass figurines on the ceiling in the entryway of the Bellagio

After visiting the atrium, we decided to head down to a fun gelato shop inside the hotel.  I love daddy-daughter pictures...too adorable!

Ann with her gelato

My little Ann watching everyone eat.  We tried to give her some of ours, but she didn't want any (which surprised us since she usually likes to eat ice cream)

Todd and Tanner

 Sisters

I asked Tom to take a picture of me so I could prove I was actually there (oh, and I will admit it felt kind of funny walking around casinos pushing a stroller.  I told Tom I felt pretty out of place doing that, although there were a few other people there with kids.  Tom commented we were probably the only white people there with kids...which was true, the only other ones were either Asian or Hispanic)

Here's Ann in the high chair she used while we were visiting.  This is the same high chair that Tom used as a toddler!  It's amazing it has survived 6 kids and occasional use since then whenever a baby comes to visit.  Although the straps disintegrated into Tom's mom's hands as she was wiping down the high chair after getting from the attic.  She just made new straps and it was good to go!

This was New Years Eve.  Ann's already learning to try and run off with Daddy's wallet!

Playing on the stairs with Uncle David

The family got the the game "7 Wonders" for Christmas and it was a lot of fun!  We played it multiple times almost every day after Christmas while we were there.  One night a few people were playing while we made dinner.  Ann pulled up a chair to watch.

Learning all about makeup from Aunt Jill!  Ann loved to come into Jill's room and come sit in front of her vanity area.  She's grab her makeup brushes and pretend to put makeup on.

I think that's it!  We had so much fun visiting everyone and getting a chance to get away and relax a bit.  We miss everyone and look forward to when we can go back.  The morning after we came home, Ann kept walking around our apartment asking about where Grandma and Grandpa were.  It was cute and sad at the same time.  She still recognizes everyone in pictures and will even say some of their names (like Grandma, Grandpa, Jill and Tanner...she'll say everyone else's with a little help :)
