The Great Outdoors

We've been trying to get outdoors as much as we can before it gets to cold.  The temperatures at the end of last week were getting up to 80 degrees, so I decided to take Ann and Ian out to Quarry Hill.  The leaves have started to change colors, but not too much yet.

Ann always loves to walk along this little bridge.  She stopped to pick up leaves and throw them to the ground.

She wouldn't stay still for a picture

Off to check out the pond.  The goose in the background was the one goose we saw.  There were a bunch of ducks though.

It was very bright and sunny

Crossing the bridge over the pond.  I was afraid Ann was going to accidentally fall in - she kept leaning way over the rail and trying to stand on the bottom rail.  Fortunately the pond is quite shallow, but it still was something I wanted to avoid happening.

Ian wasn't enjoying himself nearly as much as his sister.  He was pretty tired.

Despite the fussy baby, I stopped for a second to take a picture of the pretty flowers

Ann wanted to go inside the nature center.  She loves to come and play with the binoculars

I put Ian in my wrap for going inside.  He was fussing a lot and wasn't calming down in the stroller.  He dozed off pretty quick once he was all wrapped up.

They have these bird wing spans on the wall, so I told Ann to go stand by them.  I don't remember the exact bird she almost had the same span of, but it was some kind of owl.
